Voices of Trio: Transform Auto - Accelerating Renewable Energy Across the Automotive Supply Chain
Corina Melchor, Associate Director, Sustainability & Clean Energy
Corina is a renewable energy and decarbonization specialist with extensive experience helping multinational organizations develop and implement clean energy strategies. As Associate Director within Trio's Sustainability & Clean Energy practice, she oversees renewable energy engagements across Europe, supporting clients with renewable energy procurement, Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC) strategies, onsite and offsite renewable energy solutions, and power purchase agreements (PPAs). Corina is currently spearheading the European branch of Transform: Auto, a Trio-led supply chain decarbonisation programme. Prior to joining Trio, Corina led the Power & Utilities SME team at Boston Consulting Group, where she supported complex client engagements by combining market intelligence, analytics, and commercial strategy. Earlier in her career, she held energy supply and analytical positions with Continuum Energy and other retail energy organizations, building a deep understanding of wholesale energy markets and contracting structures. Corina also completed executive programmes in Business Sustainability Management at Cambridge University and Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies at Stanford University. Her experience enables clients to connect long-term decarbonization objectives with practical procurement and investment decisions.
Joey Lange, Senior Managing Director, Sustainability and Clean Energy
Joey is Senior Managing Director, Sustainability and Clean Energy at Trio. He previously served as Senior Director of Client Services, supporting clients through market assessment, competitive solicitations, financial and risk analysis, internal approvals, and contract negotiations. These engagements have resulted in over 6,000 MW of executed renewable energy PPAs. Prior to joining Trio, Joey spent four years at Walmart as Senior Manager for Renewable Energy and Emissions, where he led battery storage, EV charging origination, and distributed generation projects. Joey holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and a degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Tennessee.
Mary Kate Francis, Director, Supply Chain Engagement
Mary Kate manages the renewable energy supply team for Trio’s Renewables Advisory practice. She leads relationships with renewable energy developers, runs competitive solicitations, and conducts economic analysis and due diligence on renewable energy projects, to support the selection of the most competitive, risk-adjusted offers for buyers. Previously, Mary Kate worked for nine years on federal and state policy advocacy initiatives at the American Wind Energy Association. She holds an MBA from The George Washington University and a BA in International Studies and Economics from American University.
